Capcom's original creature-stalking role-playing series makes its anticipated Wii debut with Monster Hunter Tri. You are cast in the role of a hunter, whose mission is to seek out and defeat an assortment of large beasts in action-oriented combat. For the first time in the franchise, you will be able to explore a new "sub-aqua" environment in addition to dry land. The game's core design will otherwise be familiar to fans of the two previous installments on PSP. You'll begin your adventures in a single village, where you'll return after each hunting expedition to purchase items, forge weapons and armor, and even manage a farm. Out in the wild, you can develop skills in mining, gathering, and carving to craft items that will assist your character.

Items found in your journeys can also be used to improve the earthquake-ravaged town's appearance over time. One of the key features in Monster Hunter Tri is the ability to join forces with up to three fellow hunters to battle the giant creatures. The Wii version features a split-screen option for two-player quests as well as online support for four-player quests. The game's online features will not include a monthly fee in the U.S. and European markets. Those who'd prefer to go hunting alone can enlist the aid of an AI partner for some of the more challenging quests. Three controller configurations are available, from the Wii Remote and Nunchuk combo to the standalone Classic Controller. The Wii Speak accessory is also supported for voice communication during online adventures.

  • Co-op Hunting: In the hunt, you're never alone. Hunt together with up to 4 players online, with the availability for 2-player split-screen. In single-player mode, you even have the ability to hunt with AI-controlled characters named ChaCha.
  • Monsters with Unique Abilities and Attacks: Monsters have unique and dynamic personalities, abilities and defenses, increasing in complexity as the player progresses. They camouflage themselves to ambush hunters, but will flee or call for help if outmatched. You need to know your monsters to be ultimate hunter.
  • Immense Living, Breathing World with Ecosystem: Monsters interact amongst each other in a living breathing ecosystem, complete with food chain. Monsters have stamina, migrate and even attack one another, the strong feeding on the weak.
  • New Underwater Maps: For the first time ever in any Monster Hunter game, you will be able explore land and sea and hunt monsters of the deep.
  • Fully Customizable Equipment: With seven weapon categories - including the all-new "Switch Axe" - and new armor and weaponry created from the remains of slain monsters, there are almost limitless opportunities for
  • equipment customization.
  • Choice of Controls: Play with either the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, or with the Classic Controller

Wow this is hard really hard really really almost demons souls , ninja gaiden hard but so fun its one game that is fun to be mad at lol. You start out totally weak where anything can pretty much smack ya down very fast. You do not get levels you get and make and upgrade gear and weapons to fight with. Its awsome fun online and single player alike. There are plenty of monsters to kill and collect their parts etc and unlike most games there are no monster skins that are alike all different and unique which is rare for rpg type games. This game will get you real experianced with wii controllers but I do feel getting a classic pro makes it play the best. Great game.
